NRC Plant expands fleet with New 280t Lattice Crawler Crane!
NRC Plant has strengthened its heavy lifting capability with the addition of a new HSC SCX2800A‑3 280‑tonne lattice crawler crane, marking another key investment in its specialist fleet.
The crane was delivered from Holland, with NRC engineers on site to oversee mobilisation and ensure a smooth transition into service.
Upon arrival in the UK, it was transported directly to the HS2 Stoneleigh Pumping Station, where it has been deployed on a long-term hire. The scheme is being delivered by BBV (Balfour Beatty VINCI) alongside PJ Hegarty.

Rigging and commissioning were completed over a two-day period, allowing the crane to enter service immediately and begin its first major lifting operations.
This latest addition highlights NRC Plant’s ongoing commitment to providing modern, high-capacity and reliable lifting solutions, supporting some of the UK’s most complex infrastructure projects, including key works on HS2.
